2025年10月16日、本学が連携協定を結ぶミズーリ大学カンザスシティ校（University of Missouri–Kansas City, UMKC）から、Dr. Jeremy Slagoski が倉敷市国際課の皆様とともに来学されました。ミズーリ州カンザスシティ市は倉敷市の姉妹都市であり、 両市の間では長年にわたり、教育や文化をはじめとする多様な分野で交流が続いています。
今回の会談には、今年2月に同大学で実施した第4回「幼児教育海外研修」に参加した9名の学生のうち4名が、引率を務めた松浦准教授とともに出席しました。久しぶりの再会を喜び合いながら、現地で学んだ保育・幼児教育の実践や文化の 違いについて振り返るなど、終始あたたかな懇談のひとときとなりました。
席上では、これまでの多大なご尽力に対し、安達学長から Dr. Slagoski に感謝状が贈呈されました。学長からは、研修中における丁寧なご指導への感謝の言葉が改めて伝えられ、今後も両大学の協力関係をさらに深め、保育学生の国際的な学びの機会を広げていくことが確認されました。

Visit from Dr. Jeremy Slagoski, University of Missouri–Kansas City
— Strengthening International Exchange —
On October 16, 2025, Dr. Jeremy Slagoski from the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC) visited Kurashiki City College, accompanied by representatives from the Kurashiki City International Affairs Division.
Kansas City, Missouri, is Kurashiki’s sister city, and the two cities have long maintained active exchanges in the fields of education and culture.
During the visit, four of the nine students who participated in the Early Childhood Education Study Program held at UMKC in February joined the meeting together with Associate Professor Matsuura, who led the program. The group celebrated their reunion with warmth, sharing reflections on their experiences and what they learned about early childhood education and culture in the United States.
In recognition of Dr. Slagoski’s generous support and continued contributions, President Reito Adachi presented him with a certificate of appreciation. The meeting concluded with both institutions reaffirming their commitment to strengthening academic collaboration and expanding global learning opportunities for students.
